FAQ’S

  • We will aim to ship your order as soon as we can, but because everything is made fresh to order we will try to make our baked goods in batches to be as efficient as possible. So with this in mind we will ship all orders within 2 weeks of placing your order, but we usually aim to have them shipped much sooner than this.

  • Absolutely! We ship all of our orders using Royal mail 24HR tracked delivery.

    Once we have shipped your baked goods, you will receive a shipping confirmation email from us. This email will contain a link to view your order where you can see your Royal mail tracking number to track its specific delivery progress.

  • You can reach us anytime via our contact page, email or our social medias. We aim to respond quickly—usually within two business days.

  • At The Northern Tart, all our bakes are lovingly handmade in a home kitchen that handles a wide range of ingredients — including gluten, dairy, eggs, nuts, peanuts, soya, and other common allergens.

    We take allergens seriously and do our best to make sure all customers have the right information before ordering. Each product comes with a clear ingredient and allergen label in line with Natasha’s Law, which requires all pre-packed food for direct sale to include a full list of ingredients with allergens highlighted in bold.

    That means you’ll always know exactly what’s in your cake before you take a bite.

    While we take great care with hygiene and ingredient handling, we cannot guarantee that any of our products are free from allergens due to the shared use of equipment and workspace.

    Because of this, we’ve made the decision not to offer gluten-free or dairy-free products until further notice. This is to ensure the safety of our customers with allergies or intolerances — cross-contamination, even in trace amounts, can be harmful, and we’d rather be honest about our limits than risk anyone’s health.
